If you  read my new years goals post you probably read that we wanted to take a few trips this year. Well, we booked ourselves a cruise to the Bahamas in a few months. So, I went to my go to workout plan for my best body. 21 day fix!! The body shape and definition I get from this program is awesome so, that's what I am doing! My New Year New You challenge group started this last week and I wanted to be as active as my challengers. I haven't been putting any focus on my own journey lately. This just seemed like the perfect opportunity for me to get back into my groove and take time to focus on my journey as well! So, week 1 went as I expected it to go. Great! I took the time to do this organized this time. I planned out my meals in advance, I scheduled in my workouts and with my thyroid medication adjustments I have actually had the energy to keep up with everything! It really did pay off. My week 1 results:   I forgot to take my starting measurements so, I d

My Thyroid Struggles

Image
Since it is Thyroid disease awareness month, I thought I would share with you my thyroid struggles! Ill save you the back story because I have posted it a couple times before so, Ill just share you with my current struggles. See, last year everything was right in the world. I was at my goal weight, feeling great, my thyroid levels were normal (controlled by levothyroxine) and my fertility troubles seemed to start to correct themselves when I got pregnant! As I have wrote about many times before, I unfortunately miscarried that pregnancy. That is a key factor in my current struggles. Many are not aware how closely a person with thyroid disease needs to be monitored during pregnancy. Reason being, women with thyroid disease are at a greater risk of infertility, anemia, placental abruption, premature delivery, low birth weight, stillbirth and miscarriage. A women with thyroid disease is twice as likely to miscarry than a women without. The thyroid hormone is crucial in the health

A new year and fresh start! With 2015 here it has me reflecting on 2014 and what I would like to see for 2015! 2014- Was full of changes, growth, and fun times! My coaching business really took off and because of it, I was able to help so many people get healthier and happier. I grew a lot as a person. I was handed some good and bad hands this year, I found new ways to grow from them. Fun times, rebuilding old friendships, family vacations and enjoying life as it comes! 2014 was also one of the hardest years for me. There weren't many downs this year but the downs I had were the hardest ones for me to deal with. After struggling with secondary infertility, a miscarriage was so hard hitting. It took so long to finally see that perfect plus sign, losing that pregnancy was pure devastation for us! One that has taken the better half of the year to accept, deal with and heal from. Knowing my fertility struggles, S we haven't had the privilege of seeing another perfect plus sig
