Color Me Rad 5k

In case I haven't made it clear enough, my child is amazing!

She ran her first (my 6th) 5k this past weekend. It was a good push for me too! I knew I showed her I was tired of too frustrated to finish it that she would feel the same. I didn't want that! I wanted her to have the confidence finish and she did!
She wanted her own bib but they didn't give her one so I made one for her! 

Figured no better run for a kid than the color me rad 5k! That girl was pumped for her first race too!! Until the first color station where she got a mouthful of color powder... That,she did not like. Lol but, she got over that quickly and went on the finish the race strong!

She was extremely proud of herself and so were we! After finishing her race she then went on to play her soccer game. How she didn't just collapse of pure exhaustion is beyond me!!

Got to run with 2 of my coaches and 2 of my challengers!! Great way to keep the motivation going! 


Of course a couple days after the race they emailed out the professional pictures from throughout the race 
That pride! Makes my heart happy!

Juicing and the 21 Day Fix!

Does anybody else have a hard time eating in the summer time? Something about the heat and humidity kills my appetite! So, liquids tend to be my regular meal time in the summers. Shakeology, smoothies and my born again love of juicing! While juicing can be a huge pain between Prep and cleaning the juicer constantly it is still really refreshing in the summer time! So, what I started doing for my own little 3 day cleanse/reboot was: 3 raw juices a day  1 shakeology with water  Between shakeology and juice, I am unstoppable! 3 Day Shakeology Cleanse

Ever since I miscarried 4 weeks ago I have been having a terribly hard time losing weight. Working out and calorie counting wasn't doing it. So, I decided to give the 3 day Shakeology cleanse a try! Given my embarrassing supply of Shakeology I figured I needed to put it to use anyway! I decided not to work out during the cleanse. To keep my energy levels from depleting. Day One- Was actually really easy for me. I didn't find myself craving things, I didn't feel hungry and my energy levels were normal. Day Two- Still felt pretty good! I did have more cravings this day. I didn't feel overly hungry, I just felt the urge to eat! lol My energy levels were pretty normal still. I was tempted to stray until I weighed myself!
