3 Day Shakeology Cleanse

Image
Ever since I miscarried 4 weeks ago I have been having a terribly hard time losing weight. Working out and calorie counting wasn't doing it. So, I decided to give the 3 day Shakeology cleanse a try! Given my embarrassing supply of Shakeology I figured I needed to put it to use anyway! I decided not to work out during the cleanse. To keep my energy levels from depleting. Day One- Was actually really easy for me. I didn't find myself craving things, I didn't feel hungry and my energy levels were normal. Day Two- Still felt pretty good! I did have more cravings this day. I didn't feel overly hungry, I just felt the urge to eat! lol My energy levels were pretty normal still. I was tempted to stray until I weighed myself! I had lost almost 4 lbs in a day! That felt good! I felt lighter and slimmer too. So, it was working and I wanted to stick it out! Day Three- When I weighed myself this morning I had lost 3 more lbs! Putting me at a total of 6 lbs in 2 da

Home made conditioner and deodorant

Yep, I have taken it to a whole new level! We were doing our usual wholesale shopping and I walked passed a huge 36 oz tub of organic non GMO coconut oil, for $10. I mean, how could I resist that? I couldn't. In the cart it went and straight to google I went lol.  Admittedly, I am not a huge coconut fan. Taste wise that is. I don't cook with it much because I'm not a huge fan of the flavor. I do however love the smell! Not much smells better than some coconut hair products during the summer time!  So I found a home made conditioner recipe and went to town! My personal review on it- smells great and does make your hair soft. Cons- it's watery. So I used a lot to saturate my hair good. My end opinion, makes a much better leave in conditioner than a shower conditioner (does that make sense?) Recipe- 1 Can of Coconut Milk 1 TBSP Honey 1 TBSP Coconut Oil Mix all ingredients together and VIOLA Edible conditioner! lol I put it in an old con

Vegan Update

Well, I am not one to hide the truth or sugar coat so I will just come out and say it. I failed!  So far that is.  Vegan for us is a work in progress. Cold turkey was harder than planned for many reasons. One being preparation. Since we have been having all the unpleasants going on in our lives (read previous posts for details) meal planning and prepping has not been happening like it should. So, our first step is to get back to proper meal planning. Once we get that back down, we will alter the menu towards total vegan.  Things we have already cut out: Cows/animal Milk Cheese  Butter  Meat cut from all but 1 meal a day  Biggest struggles: Eggs - I'm a huge hard boiled egg eater. I generally eat 2 a day so it's been hard cutting that.  Dinner- dinner is the only meal a day we are all together to eat so, we could a good dinner. I am a big freezer crock pot meal gal. It's easy, delicious and an easy way to keep on track while saving money.  Man

Transformation Tuesday

Have you ever seen that ecard that says something along the lines of "nothing moves faster than a women whose been tagged in picture she looks fat in"? Lol it's so true for me! In fact, I took it to a new level. I changed my tagged settings on Facebook where I had to approve the tag before it showed on my page. Yes. I was that embarrassed with how I looked I changed my settings. I know what you're thinking and you are correct. Instead of actually trying to lose weight, I just blocked tagged photos of me on Facebook. Like that was really going to change the situation.  Well, apparently I missed a few tags before I realized I could change the settings. I was going through old photos on Facebook out of sheer boredom and came across one that quite literally made my jaw drop, my stomach turn and my eyes squint to fight back tears.  I was in shock. Shocked that I really looked that way. Shocked I was in such denial I ignored it for all that time. Shocked I act
