Stay On Track During the Holiday Craziness

Thanksgiving is in a few days. Everyone knows what that means, lots of travel, lots of chaos and LOTS OF FOOD! Staying on track through all the chaos can be tricky but, it is doable! Here are a few tips I have for enjoying Thanksgiving without affected your goals!

1. Get organized! I spent Monday meal planning for the week, going grocery shopping and prepping meals! Being organized and having a plan makes it so much easier to keep on track and stay the course!

 
2. Do your workouts!  Don't use the holiday as an excuse to skip your workouts! Get up a little bit earlier on Thanksgiving to make sure you get it in before you head off to dinner (or multiple dinners). My plan, I will be double workouts on Wednesday, doing my regular workout on Thanksgiving morning and then I will do doubles on Friday also to help recover!
 
 
3. Shakeology! Drink that shakeology for breakfast! It will control hunger which will prevent you from over eating at your dinner.. or multiple dinners lol
 
4. Make some healthy alternatives for your dinner! There are many many healthy options on there, use them! If you are not cooking dinner, load your plate up on the veggies! Eat them first, that will help fill you and stop you from over eating on the less than healthy options. I'm looking at you stuffing and rolls!!

5. Use Thanksgiving as your cheat meal! Yep, that's pretty simple! To say you wont slip on Thanksgiving is pretty out of reach for many. That is totally ok, use it as your cheat meal and stay 100% on track the rest of the week. Follow all the steps listed above to help soften the blow and be sure to recover from it!

6. Enjoy your Thanksgiving! That is the most important step after all ;)
