Dessert anyone?!

Last night my sweet tooth (go figure right?) for the better of me and I strayed from my planned out frozen grapes for dessert. Still kept it clean and healthy though! Just goes to show, sometimes you can stray off the plan a bit while still following guidelines and keeping it healthy!  So what did we have for dessert last night?

Honey and cinnamon drizzled baked bananas served on natural French vanilla ice cream.

Really easy to make. Simply slice up a banana, drizzle some raw honey over the slice, then sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Serve on top of one scoop of natural vanilla ice cream or vanilla yogurt.

Since this was a last minute decision we were not prepared with home made ice cream. So Adam (my husband) ran to the store and returned with frozen yogurt. He got home and was telling me about all artificial garbage in said frozen yogurt. Something most people would think is the healthier option is actually not the healthiest option. He then told me he picked up a box of bryers French vanilla only contained milk, cream, egg yolk, vanilla and Tara gum. The Tara gum was the only ingredient that I didn't like.

While the frozen yogurt contained: Corn syrup, diglycerids, locust bean gum, cellulose gum, guar gum, food startch corn, polysorbate 80, carrageenan, dextrose, lactic acid, palmitate.. Wow- that's a whole lot of ingredients that do our bodies zero good and can hardly be pronounced.

So, before the banana finished baking my hubby was headed back out to the store (a different one of course, bc God for is you be seen at one store twice in 10 minutes lol) to get the bryers French vanilla ice cream.

Just goes to show folks, read the labels! What may seem like the healthier option at first may not actually be healthy at all!
