Home made peanut butter

Say what?! Yes, I am taking this home made thing to a new level!

In our quest to save money and still eat clean we came across the idea to make our own peanut butter. Is this house, we could easily use a 16oz jar a week.

Price comparison-16oz  natural/organic peanut  jar $7. Regular peanut butter 16oz jar $3.50.

Homemade peanut butter- bottle of peanuts- $3. Makes 16oz of peanut butter.

So for less money you are getting a completely natural peanut butter that is 100 calories less than regular peanut butter. Also minus those pesky ingredients that do absolutely nothing but pollute your body such as fully hydrogenated vegetable oils, rapseed soybean, mono and diglycerids, salt.

So, for home made peanut butter.

What you need, peanuts. That's it. Just peanuts. If you like a sweeter taste you could add (oh auto correct just about got me on add. Ashley -1 auto correct -0) some honey or stevia.

Add 1 cup of dry unsalted peanuts to your food processor. Run until peanut butter consistency. 2-3 minutes I would say. Once it's the right texture is when you can sweeten to taste. Then run processor again for a minute to mix the sweetner in it. Viola! Home made peanut butter in 5 minutes or less.

How do you like them apples?! Why, with a side of home made peanut butter.

Oh I slay me! Perhaps Tony Horton is wearing off on me ;) lol
